Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre

The Wye Marsh in Midland is a federal National Wildlife Area and is known for the reintroduction of the Trumpeter Swan to Ontario. The largest flying waterfowl was once widespread in eastern Canada, but disappeared with the advance of civilization. Over 104 Trumpeter Swans live in the Georgian Bay region, the largest concentration of these birds in Ontario.
