Well, I ask you to consider the following:
For the last 3 years in a row, The Delawana Inn Spa & Conference Resort has received the coveted award of being the #1 family resort in Canada. This tells me that we truly are the best at what we do. It tells me that when our clients wanted an experience to remember or enrich their lives, something extra special, something with much greater value from the “norm” – we listened, we got creative, we had fun, we diversified AND we delivered.
During July and August the resort buzzes with fun activities and social programs for adults and children of all ages. During May, June, September and October the resorts’ environment takes on a different feel and buzzes with activity from corporate clients participating in teambuilding games, business meetings, conferences and tradeshows to name a few. It is evident that our business must practice diversity to successfully accommodate such a vast change in customer requirements on a month to month basis while still holding true to the values that have made us so successful for over 110 years.
When I consider what is truly important to the “family unit” and how the Delawana Inn Spa & Conference Resort is dedicated to successfully complimenting these important values, I can’t help but feel that these are the same values or goals that our corporate clients want to instill into their employees - Things such as communication, learning, listening and understanding, creativity, trust, building strong relationships, supporting each other, working hard to make each member successful in all they do and simple things such as sitting down and discussing the days events over a meal together.
Well then, if our peers have decided that we are the #1 family resort in Canada, then I am proud to say, that we have successfully expanded our awareness and diversified our meaning of “family” to encompass all business that graces our doors from May through October, whether it comes in the form of a business conference/meeting or a traditional family vacation. I guess you could say we truly do have and offer, the best of both worlds!
If I were planning an offsite conference/meeting, I would certainly want to bring my guests to a venue that not only has been awarded for its dedication and commitment of enriching peoples lives and offering extraordinary experiences, but more so because its peers have voted, and without reservation, trust the Delawana Inn with not only their businesses but with their families.
